What is Video.JS?

Video.JS is an html5 compatible video player based on the javascript language developed in Open Source that is compatible on all browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari …) and all devices (PC, Mac, Iphone, Android …).
Due to its open source development, this video player is very reliable and extremely customizable, both on its interface and on the file formats it can support or the way it delivers media to viewers.

Integration of Video.JS on the Online-Event platform

The Video.JS player is integrated to the platform for streaming video via the Wowza Media platform but it can also be used to broadcast VOD videos.

It is now possible in the back office of your platform to select the default appearance of the video player among a choice of over 10 “skins” available:

The Video.JS player is preconfigured on the Online-Event platform to reload a stream automatically every 10 seconds in case of connection problem with the streaming platform, or the media source.

On request, it is also possible to load specific plugins allowing among other things:

playback of VR/360° video
to switch automatically to backup streams from different streaming providers
manage playlists
play video files in particular formats (MPEG-DASH, DRM, audio …)
integrate intro or exit videos when loading the player (ads, commercials …)
